That's a strange move considering the value of Rubi BP has nowhere to go but up. Now is the time to off mid-level items, not top-level stuff that's going to be taken out of the game.

Down. You mean down. It's the only thing with regen now. But will be outclassed with Kunark.

The value of a lot of stuff is going to nosedive when Kunark launches, but I'll bet we'll see 40k Rubicite Breastplates when the economy starts to inflate and they're taken out of the game. Never underestimate the value of regen, even if it will be outclassed in a year.

Green/Teal economies are in a strange place. Lots of goods, not much plat.
That's not a "strange place", that's literally how it's supposed to be.

Current Rubi BP prices are about the same as on Blue, where there is plenty of plat to pay top dollar for collector items (which is all it is on Blue).

Plus if Blue is any indicator there will be deflation over time not inflation, as the number of items increases and the number of people who already have those items increases demand sky dives.

I don't think rubi BPs are gonna get replaced that quickly, really. Think of how many shams and whatever will be rocking them by day 1 of kunark compared to how many iksar BPs and fungis will be dropping per day. It'll be weeks until anyone but the most hardcore powergame groups are 60 to go tackle spore king camp, and then once more people can handle it, it'll be a shitshow down there with randoms trying to get down there and stay down there to /list for the prenerf staff.

Yeah, supply of regen gear is going to be a fraction of what it is on Blue for the life of Green/Teal, and demand will be insanely high because of the increased population. Rubicite Breastplate is never going to be obsolete. It's just going to be the 'cheap' alternative to Fungi and Iksar Breastplate, which are probably going to be even more expensive than they were on Blue at its peak.

I'd like to see any numbers if available. Most people I talk to say there is already 10x the rubi bps available on green/teal than was blue when taken out and we still have months to go before removal.

There will probably end up being more Ruby Breastplates on the server than active players in a couple months.
