Default Game Crashing after character selection

I just installed the game on my Surface Pro 4.

After installation and getting in game, I didn't like how small the window was. I could barely read anything, so I logged out and found a post that said to change the eqclient.ini file WindowedWidth & WindowedHeight to my desktop resolution (2736x1824). It was set at 1280x1024 before I changed it to 2736x1824.

It logged in just fine and got to the character select screen, but one I clicked OK it would just crash. I changed the resolution back to 1280x1024, but it just keeps crashing.

Thanks for any suggestions in advance!

Just wanted to post an update on this.

Since EQ worked fine the first time I logged in, I didn't think WinEQ2 would be the fix, but since it was referenced as solving so many problems when I was searching, I figured I would give it a shot and it actually worked!

I'm not sure what broke EQ the second time I tried logging in, but WinEQ2 certainly fixed it. Sorry for the unnecessary post, but maybe it will help the next guy.

Have fun playing guys & gals!
