The reason I knew that truth about Ektar is because one day years ago he and I were tracking for CT and Amelinda popped in to shoot the shit. He mentioned this fact during the conversation and I've never forgotten it!

I have seriously considered donating. I understand that the servers run purely off donations. My only problem is that they "don't pay themselves".

I have had a petition opened on the forums for close to 3 months now without a reply.

If they actually paid themselves maybe they would work on matters a bit more effectively and hire a larger staff to delegate other matters to. I would be happy if they took a salary; it would encourage me to donate knowing they are getting paid to do their job.

But, I am sure there are clear legal problems surrounding this issue. Largely due to the fact that they would be making money off of a product that is not really theirs.

So it's understandable, but it still sucks they can't get paid for doing awesome jobs otherwise at running this place (aside from petition que times).
