Quest Issue: Shadowbound boots

I just tried this starter in MM, hail Ssynthi, ask him what service, go grab the flower inside the tomb, give it to him, and he says GET AWAY FROM ME!

He cons indifferent to me, which according to what I read should work. And I found this: http://www.project1999.org/forums/ar...p/t-18404.html which indicated there was a problem which is now fixed. But I'm indifferent, tried three times, he still says GET AWAY FROM ME!

So is this broken? Is there any point in trying to raise faction by killing shadowed men?

Very weird. Went and killed some shadowed men in lfay, and even though I'm still indifferent, it worked.
