for all I know this should only drop off female vampires - chanter quest pieces, chanter epic drop.

Have seen at least 2 Essence of a Vampire drop off male (mage) forsaken revenants in PoHate tonight. Not sure if this was ever the case on classic?

Did some brief research about this and saw comments about it being found on both genders.

Moving to resolved, but if in era evidence is found about female only drops, create a new bug report.
