We plan to put this up to a vote ASAP. (and a progression server only vote at that)

Unfortunately it is too risky a change for us to slam it in, AND I am not convinced that we have a true representative sample. These would be the true original punishing corpse runs where if you don't get your corpse in 7 days, you loose your items.

There will not be, and never will be, a Shadowrest on progression server.

The side issue is it ends up costing us plenty of extra money, because no matter how much you say it, people really don't want to loose their stuff... so they cost us customer service money getting they corpse restored after it poofs. This is NOT the lone deciding factor on this, but it will be weighed against how much players actually really do want it. If the Vote is overwhelming to bring it back, and we are not overruled by the financial folks AND it is reasonable in code (The new item code was not implemented for corpses because we had no items on corpses already) we will bring it back. But there are MANY consideration as you can see.

So I am not saying absolutely no, we will not bring it back, but we are not going to spend the extra resources until we are reasonable sure the server actually really wants it. Message boards are NOT a good enough measure of the interest becuase it is only a fraction of the players.


The truth is,

there wont be corpse runs. SOe take time and fix this My ass.

It seems they will be addressing Trade Skill Items. About three weeks into the original progression server people were able to make Misty Thicket Picnic Baskets and Qeynos After Noon tea. I will admit I bought both, as I recall they were 7sp per item.

It was a lot easier for me to use both items because as a Druid I could summon food, force eat, then put both items in the consumable slots with no concern of eating them. Shortly there after I figured out how to make them myself, but left the game before I had a high enough school level to make the final combine.

The stats with either item was better than any Planes dropped armor.

We will not be able to have a different data set, we can just restrict some whole parts from dropping/spawning. So in the example of the boots, it will had the focus effect because we cannot restrict part of a concrete entity like that. It will either be no boots at all until later, or they drop with the changes.We plan on having a select set of "iconic" items drop for a limited time. At this time we will not be sharing the list, and may never share the list

Therefore All focus effects will be enabled. If the item is too powerful or the dev wasn't lazy on that item. The item will not be in game until later. Hmm I wonder how much time they will spend on which items stays and goes .

It is because the changes were made after the progression server was already past the point of that mattering.

It is the type of data that is global. To change this we would change it on all servers, which is not cool.

Similarly, SK Death Touch will be high for the time. And Mage Pets will be very powerful (probably necro pets)

The truth is,


A recap:

1) Monk dmg will remain the same as it is currently.
2) Coin is wieghtless
3) Soulbinders in game
4) Corpse recover is non exsistant.
5) Sk harmtouch is that of current live
6) Mage and necro pets currently how they are on live ( Over powered)
7) Focus effects on items will be in game , unless the item is chosen not to be in game. <this goes the same for flowing thought>
8) Revamped zones stay in game
9) Hell levels are not back
10) Maps are in game
11) Stat point values will remain as they are in live
12) Some market place items are in game
13) All Spells will remain how they are on live. O You gain a new one every level sigh
14) Kerra isle is merged with tox.
15) Boats are no in game translocators are.

These are just the discovered issues. More will come as we encounter THE TRUTH!
