West Karana mobs
Since patch, west karana's mobs are extra varied and pathing in ways I've never seen. I see treants almost as soon as I zone in from Qeynos Hills. The Ghoul Messanger is running rather than walking, and it was wiping out the bandit camp in the hills NorthEast of the bandit farm. Had a bandit walk all the way to the zone line of QH. Also on a side not, have been killing lions and have not gotten a single ruined skin. I have like 4 HQ pelts, but even those were rare and most kills resulted in no pelts at all. Hard to tailor patchwork armor without the pelts. Wolf and bear seem normal. Thats just what I've noticed while paying attention today. Have not been to any other karana zones.

Cats in classic are erroneously missing ruined lion skin, but they have ruined cat pelts. I added them pending update. You'll need to go to Kunark in the meantime for the ruined lion skin.
Treants should be able to roam more than before, but there are too many, so that's been capped pending update. Note the zone has double the amount of mobs than before the patch, so they aren't taking more spawns than before. The ghoul messenger and bandit pathing you mentioned is intentional.

Hi Telin,
I posted this in the patch thread, and am happy to find it is an issue which has already been identified and is being worked on. I do want to repost my message here for relevance: "This is obviously terribly problematic for evil characters, but it gets worse. The treants are almost level 30, and have taken it upon themselves to pump up the newbie mobs from like 40 hp to over treble that. You can't run away either - the animals now all have sow. Finally, if you do manage to outfight a newbie animal, you're still not in the clear - if a treant paths close by it will assist that animal and just totally destroy any low level toon. I don't remember WK being like this, especially not the lowbie area!" | ||
