was it really a 20,000 person capacity? if so how is such a feat of engineering not as widely known as the pyramids?
I think the truth is those people lived down there after the global caticlsym that is written about in gilgamesh and the torah, and bible, and budist and hindu and the rest of the worlds religion.

Hopefully it was a magnetic pole flip so everyone will die again because those are cycles [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

pole flip will cause some weird shit to happen and some folks are gonna get sun burnt and alot of crops will suffer, but i haven't read anything conclusive to suggest pole flips are extinction events.

many satellites will fail when the magnetosphere weakens, many ground based electronics too.

life will go on, alot of humans are really good at surviving, just not here in the United States of Doordash.

Actual document: https://www.cia.gov/readingroom/docs...00070001-8.pdf

I think they did this study to justify builind NORAD, becuase it seems like the optimal place to survive (this cool pole flip theory) is Colorado rockeys on the eastern side... or maybe they built used norad to justify building something for this!

Feasibly it predated the Turks and got repurposed during their reign as a hideyhole?

Hideyholes were very common in areas occupied by Turks. For obvious reasons villages traditionally keep them secret.

Even now there are plenty of secret caves in Greece which are tended by locals and aren’t acknowledged/known by the officials. Just because Greece is largely self governing now doesn’t mean the people will reveal their secrets - their freedom now is a blip on the radar compared to 1000 years of Turkish then Nazi occupation. I’m sure similar stories exist anywhere with routine brutal occupation.

Americans are very suspicious of authorities (second amendment and all that) so it surprised me to see they don’t understand why bunkers would be kept secret.

This guy is a fame hungry / idiot revealing this secret. Others in the village knew.
Definitely predates the Turks, they started burrowing in earnest during the Arab period because of annual “jihad” into Anatolia. But the Turks mythologize that no one lived in Anatolia before they did. Same reason the Azeris destroy graves and churches in Armenia and Azerbaijan, namely, these people are trash

I’d give greece, Armenia, and Cyprus nukes and call it a day
