ui, display and hotbars are not saving

having an issue where my hotkeys ui and display reset everytime i log and my hotbars reset everytime i zone

Was happening to me. If you do /camp and wait the 30s to log to character creation screen it seems to save it.

That and if you've installed the game to Program Files (naughty naughty!) unless you run it as Admin it can't write to that directory to save changes. Usually, it will create new files in your users' temp folder (in C:\users\username\appdata) and run off of those.

Best practice is to install to a non protected directory (C:\games\eq for example) and you'll see less permission-related issues.
