Undeniably true
not sure if this has been posted before. yea it's beating a dead horse at this point but reading this just reminded me how much blizz dropped the ball on d3. d2 is probably my favorite computer game ever, the only one i think is even better than EQ. im sure others who regularly played it back in the day would agree with me.

Stinkum remind me to read your entire post history
D3 is tackling primary stat issues and adding "cool effects" in the expac. Maybe after expac and 10 patches we will see the true D2 sequel. Its in somewhat OK shape now but no true champion of games by any means.

This was by design to get people to spend money on the RMAH. With that in mind, they threw everything out the window and WoWified the game in the process equipment wise. Had my month or two of fun, beat inferno, uninstalled, never looked back. D3 was the one night (month?) stand of video games.

Well if they used this vanilla D3 as a test bed for their existing system and planned to tack on crazy item effects / abilities granted from other classes on items in their future xpacs... it could be a briliant move.
They pretty much did this with D2 and LoD then the synergy patch. I think they realize its safe now to start making crazy item effects or things that buff the shit out of certain skills. They just have to beware insane synergies like the soon to be nerfed CM/frost nova builds.

Blizzard is bad at making video games.
