How long will it rove before Shai-Halud takes it beneath the sands?

Idk. Im pretty excited about it caching samples. And the drone is cool.

They are making this stuff autonomous.

Maybe in 100 years we'll have fully autonomous and programmable fuel production with a combination of drone technology and bioengineering, solar and nuclear power. Remotely programmable assembly. Or even automated entirely for a deep space mission. Then we just launch things around the system and galaxy.

Really cool thoughts.

Plus pictures of Mars rocks are always cool.

I always thought shai-halud were bioengineering run amuck and their original purpose was turning a biosphere into a life extending drug factory. Maybe Arrakis wasn't so arid. Though Frank Herbert I think stated emphatically man emigrated to Arrakis.

Did you see that pyramids in the upper right hand corner and the permission to turn on and display the engineering camera feed. Just in case.

I would have been a 10/10 control room babe in my youth. *envy*

Worried about BigJpl man. He was looking a tad radioactive.

Perseverance landed in a dry lake bed. Neat.
