Is it time for a new RnF?

RnF launched 7 years ago. People on the forum have multiple fire giant accounts. Everywhere you turn every single person posts to no end. The forum meme economy is inflated to death, and more bans exists then I can imagine. As someone who didn't start until years after launch, I feel like I, along with many posters on here, really missed out on the true classic feel by finding out too late. I'd love to see a RnF relaunch to reset the forum for the posters that love to shitpost. It seems unlikely when accounting for resources and time put into this forum, but one can dream right?

To bring back the good days of RnF, it'd have to be run independently. Ever since the "no staff bashing" rule was implemented, anything controversial gets deleted. I get why the rule was originally implemented, because people definitely used to take things a bit far back when big Rogean was directly involved in CSR matters, but now it is just abused to shut down even the most tame and legitimate criticism.

I still remember Zhao getting so worked up he challenged the staff to fight him IRL over the mystwalker nerf, now that shit would get deleted and he'd get banned before it ever got that far, and we all suffer by being deprived of a grade A pixel meltdown. Even shit that just indirectly involves the staff, like guild disputes the staff ruled on have to be posted with kid gloves so as no to offend certain thin skinned individuals.

RnF is dead, and it isn't coming back as long as it is run by people who wish to make themselves immune to criticism.
