Default Classic Lavastorm Music

Anyone know how to get the classic lavastorm music to work? I thought it was simply a case of deleting a pair of files but I did and it's still not working. I do have the lavastorm xmi file in there though and I assume it's got the original audio music in there but I don't have a converter to be certain.

This would also apply to Nektulos which had musical cues for nearing Lavastorm mountains and a few other bits of music spread throughout the zone.

Does nobody really know the solution to this? Classic music is a key part of the classic experience!

I have no help to offer, but I'll add this in: Different music plays on my PC than plays on the wife's PC when we're in Lavastorm. This completely baffles us since P1999 was added to her computer after a hard drive failure a few years back simply by copying it to a USB drive from my PC, so the base installs are the same. This is the only zone we've found where the music differs between our machines. As near as I can figure I have the modern music playing on my machine. I only very rarely ever turn on music in game so one of us must have tinkered with something on one PC and not the other in between copying the files and noticing the difference.

The boom at SolA/B works fine for me, it's this music that I'm trying to restore

Some time ago , I replaced the lavastorm mp3 file with another mp3 file that had the old midi classic tune. It just needs to have the same file name.
I did the same with eqtheme and battlesongs.

Battle songs also are an issue since they used to be 3 different tunes, now there are only 2 that you can use.

I wish P99 could restore the underwater, ducking , and seatheme (boat) songs , but according to other sources, its probably not possible unless Daybreak steps in and corrects this. Check this link out for more info on this https://www.reddit.com/r/everquest/c...usic_to_sound/

This link also has info on EQ classic music. https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...ead.php?t=8893

With all the effort made to recreate the classic experience, I’m surprised no effort was made to get the classic music back into the game.
