Default Druid Fear - Panic Animal

I may suck at searching the forums, but I can't believe NO ONE has posted about this. So, when Velious first came out, Druids were a pretty good class. They were great in Kael for Dire Wolves - Dru/Shm, Dru/Clr, Dru/Enc were great for duoing Arena and Plate House. I remember getting a few Thurg BP/Legs back when they were worth something.

Yes, several of the tactics that allowed this to work are gone, such as pre-setting the pets top two buffs, by doing root > fixation (or slow if doing tash stick) > malosini > ensnare > glamour (or proc tash stick) > charm.

Now that dispel isn't guaranteed to hit the top two, you can no longer get around dispels by hiting See Invis and something else (regen bp, DS gloves) on him every dispel to fix it. Not to mention he just straight up interrupted most dispels or the sham would tank those.

Anyways.

The biggest danger by far Charm breaks sub-96. He would summon. This gave you two options. Get your timing down perfect to run away for 5 sec and recham. Have sham do lowest level root. Or, the easiest option - use Panic Animal on your pet and recharm. A 3 tick fear + ensnare, so it didn't run far.

Since returning, I can't land Panic Animal on ANYTHING. 100% resists on Dire Wolves. Maybe they're too high. I track down Terrorize Animal. 100% resists. Umm...

I go to Kedge, lower mobs. Green cons. Panic, 100% resists. Terrorize, 100% resists.

Am confuse.

I think maybe mobs in Kedge are immune to fears. Which is just as well. Imagine fearing a mob in there. You'll train yourself!

They are. It was a bummer for me, I was hoping to charm solo on my bard there and fear was important to me for finishing mobs indoors, especially casters.

That's interesting about Kedge, I thought I remembered fearing there too. But anyways, bigger issue the Dire Wolves in Kael. I tried 5 different charmables one and none can be feared.

I'd also like to check Shiverbacks in PoFear. I mostly leveled my druid from 54-60 in Fear. They were most definitely fearable.

Also some other interesting things I discovered about Fear:

Root + Fearing a summoning mob will prevent it from summoning. Yes, this is as OP as it sounds.
