Representative government and oligarchy are not the same thing.

Billionaires being able to create super pacs for their own interests along with the easily bought politicians in our government is about as close to an oligarchy as you can get. They’re all bought and paid for besides maybe a few. You should do some googling there’s really strong arguments that we’re already there.
