Sound issue

I recently installed the game and sound was working fine until this morning. I don't know what I could have changed to have it stop. I've tried messing with windows settings, can't run in admin mode as it says can't find eqgame.exe, gone through the settings before logging in to server. Totally lost as to what to do.

Are you using WinEQ2 or just running it with the bat file? I don't have a solution, I'd like to help but I'm unsure. There is a setting in wineq2 to disable/enable sound, which is why I asked that. Do you have any other applications like coolsoft virtualmidisynth or anything like that?

If you're using the .bat file to run P99, then you gotta go to your everquest folder and right click on eqgame.exe to have it run as administrator. You should also run it in compatibility mode for xp sp2, as that fixes some issues that people have as well.
