But don't like 47 states still have to make laws about it? Just means the federal government will respect the state laws that make it illegal or protect citizens from the state for it. Still 47 states can do it.

Isn't it still legal for the feds AKA FBI to do civil forfieture in federal cases?

AFAIK this just was a challenge of a state law.

The Supreme Court ruling against it can't hurt things though.
