Political side means nothing they would still be making record profits only the Republican would be asking for some of that cash in exchange for even more land the oil companies still wouldn’t drill on.

The companies are choosing to enjoy their high profits rather than increase the supply of oil. That's despite the relatively low oil price they would need to turn a profit. Oil executives have said oil prices between $23 and $38 a barrel, on average, would cover the cost of drilling new wells.

When the oil companies and or drilling companies are acting together that’s gaming the system.

I am curious what emergency powers Biden may enact. I know you Trumptards are waiting in the shadows poised to shout socialism.
