I absolutely hate running.
But I'd do it everyday because I was a focused machine. I remember one of my old neighbors would always criticize me because I'd run in shorts and t-shirt during Winter or weights in a backpack. I'm surprised I didn't have someone constantly punching me in the face while I ran. I had this mentality that all that would make me stronger. Probably did. At least physically it did. I was jacked. Wore tight shirts and stared at myself in the mirror for 20 minutes straight. It got to a point where I went from wanting girls to check me out to wanting guys to check me out because I wanted to be viewed as a threat. I played zero video games back then too. Maybe I should get back into it.

It’s undeniable that my cardio goes down with extra muscle to oxygenate as well. I’m 19lbs over the heavyweight combat sports cutoff. Don’t see many heavyweights with great cardio, even though they are training 6 hours a day I wish I could, but I simply can’t anymore [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Always amazes me that the Zulu impis could travel the distances and speeds they did--and barefoot in rough country and scrubland. They were bona-fide "foot cavalry." To this day their conditioning remains something of a military legend. Danth
