Oh there are plenty of examples of that.

Everyone fucks Africa over. It's essentially the Wild West.

China is doing it now with the Belt and Road initiative, and of course there are short investors deliberately destroy entire currencies or banks in Africa, or hire a British mercenary to overthrow a government.

There are more, but I'd be here forever.
