Gadfly, never had an issue with you. If you don't think it made sense to leave then that's fine. But our guild has always been highly competitive and aggressive ever since starting on Fennin ro. The main reason we liked p99 blue was because that playstyle was similar, especially with the VP train wars. When the raid rotations came in, our classic eq nostalgia got crushed, so we left. End of story. Can call it a hissy fit if you want, but obviously was a logical decision based on a change in rules.

I'm all for quitting for a good reason, and this server has given everyone plenty of them. Hell, I quit twice! My only issue is that instead of realizing that most of the guild still wanted to play, and wishing them well, you locked up the guild bank and basically called them all traitors for not quitting with you.

We have all made emotional decisions, and put our own ego before common sense, but it's been a long time man, and you're still beating that same drum.

The guild you left behind did damn well for more than a year with basically no leadership after Zagum poofed. They pushed IB into a major reform, a new tag, and split leadership with a class R guild that has been around a long time (just like current TMO is basically doing now). They did well. You should be proud of them. Many of them (not as many now) are people you would have called friend before you left.

Honestly man I hope you guys have fun and do well on red. I just don't see why you feel the need to trash these people who have been fighting a pretty rough battle here on blue. I don't read your red threads but I doubt they do the same to you, and they certainly could.

Now there is no TMO or IB on blue, and honestly that's a good thing. Way too much petty baggage had been built up. Hopefully everyone can take a deep breath and move forward with cooler heads. It would be better for everyone involved.

It has nothing to do with what you're capable or not, because if that was the case, Asgard would never be eligible for class C because we already know that they're not capable of killing anything but scraps.

Foreskin pushing out the "up and coming guilds" as you called them is all on Foreskin because they think they're punishing big class R guilds or something, but they're really just taking things away from the small guilds.

Frankly I don't think the people in Class C even understand how it works. The amount of gloat over getting an FTE on a Sev is mindboggling. Do they think anyone but Onyx and Dissidia mattered? Congrats on having people with better pings and more experienced people on coth mages on the engage, you reaffirmed that BDA is not ready to move to class C. But beyond that...

What the shitlords in TMO and the braindead Asgarder don't really seem to understand that once class R rattled its way around the engages and the tiny guilds banded together to make a force capable of competing equally with Taken and BDA, Class R was effectively acting perfectly as far as its members were concerned. Taken, BDA, and Gimpatron shared the mobs, relatively drama free (the occasional burp notwithstanding). The three slot rotation was working. Everyone was getting loot. There was even mobs for small entities like Anon to try to get.

Losing Sev doesn't mean what these guys think it means. If they understood lockouts, they would know that Sev will just bounce back one step and then everything will be fine again. If TMO wanted to stay in R, they would find its not BDA they are inconveniencing at all. They'd displace Gimpatron. BDA and Taken will take the next two without any interference from TMO (unless they toss a couple alts out of guild, change the name again, and pretend they are a new guild again).

Yup. All TMO actually accomplished by staying in class R for a few days was taking away loot from the small guilds. Not Taken. Not BDA. The very guilds they think they are supporting in their obsessive attacks on the big class R guilds.

Same TMO members, same douchebag attitude shitting all over everyone else. P1999. P1999 never changes.

I definitely can understand your perspective Gadfly.

Sure they did fine after I left, we had a large number of well trained and experienced raiders. They didn't need amazing leadership. Merging with FE was a bad move though and led to implosion. I probably would have changed my initial position and supported blue TMO if they didn't merge with FE and drag the guild through the mud. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Since like you say, a lot of those people left were those I could call friends.

Though we also had the issue of Portsche stripping Darkdeath's character & other stuff like that, which did not help relations!

The one good thing that came out of all of it is that we are now converting the guildbank into red platinum to help get things started over here. Red has been good times so far!

There are legit claims on both sides, but by now isn't it all meaningless small stuff? We could argue these points forever, but it doesn't matter at all.

I hope Forsaken succeeds. They are about to try something that is very very tough in this environment, and regardless of the outcome I respect the attempt.

You realize right Forsaken doesn't care about punishing anyone in Class R right? They are just starting out with totally new leadership and took an opportunity to get some easy loot from desired Class R mobs before moving up. It's a breather week as they prepare to re-enter the fray with Rampage (at least that's what I hear).

You Class R guys are taking this way way too seriously and getting stirred up by drama junkies.

In a week or two they will have moved on and you can go back to business as usual.
