This movie was absolutely messy and deserving of criticism but it's kinda ridiculous to say that Phantom Menace was better. I don't know why people make hating the latest Star Wars movie into a contest.

The TPM comment is mostly hyperbole, but there weren't things in there that totally broke the franchise. Just a bunch of stupid kiddie crap.

TLJ's hyperspace bullshit completely rewrites the economics of warfare throughout the starwars universe. Also, the Canto Bight stuff was totally pointless, and Rose & Fin's monoski "moment" was totally selfish on her part.

There's a really good movie trapped inside several layers very poor writing. They should have let a 12 year old read the script and they could have avoided some of these basic story telling issues.

For the most part I liked the latest one, but the ending kinda ruined it for me. I'll try not to spoil ...

If anyone can just take out a massive whatever-that-ship-was so easily, why are there even guns on ships in that universe? Everyone should just send ships to do what they did in the movie, as it's clearly way more effective.

Also, while I kinda think what Luke did was cool (in a way it's nice to see each generation of Jedi master get better and better at that "trick"), I feel like it would have been so much better if he had just done it the way Obi-wan did in New Hope.

P.S. Also, why have Leia do what she did? It seems like the only point of it was to say "the girl gets to be one too", which was dumb because Leia was a perfectly great character without the random stuff that was only relevant for that single scene.

Total trash fucking movie. Every scene was super fucking cringey and eye-rolling. Had to have some stupid ass LOL moment in every scene which was annoying as fuck. Plus the obvious stronk womens in every leadership position showing the clueless cuck males how its done was so fucking forced and dumb. I pretty much predicted this in another thread but fucking christ I didn't think I'd be so spot on. If you like this movie you're a faggot.
