The stun whips are common drops, and can be VERY useful for interrupting.

How many charges do those come with and how much are they?

Thanks for input, but isn't switching out for a shield and hitting bash easier?

Mithril? That crap is for Rangers. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

The Axe of the Slayers is awesome for soloing. The damage absorb actually heals you, 3-6 times during a battle and it's like having a bunch of extra HPs. You can kill a bunch of greenies and get your health back too. Plus for grouping situations, the proc generates passive AE aggro like a heal.

No. It's actually much less convenient. When you are fighting a complete healing mob or some shitty chanter or AoE crazy mob you will thank your lucky stars as to how often to stun whips proc with decent dex. Bash does not come up often enough with the way mobs spam their abilities on this server. This of course is situational. With a good chanter or cleric in your group they should be able to handle the chain stunning for you.

I mostly agree, but there will be times that a warrior needs to up his MR as much as possible for certain encounters. Usually in these cases the loss of AC isn't important, it's resisting ugly AoEs.

Yeah, so have the Mithril in a secondary resist gear pile for cases when you need it. But for day to day, go with crafted.

Yup!

On a side note, I don't own half the gear I've mentioned and I have a level 1 warrior that's been sitting in her starting zone since the spring.
But I did have a warrior on Live many many moons ago.

Is losing 6 ac even a trivial difference though compared to have 14 more str and 10svs?

Every little bit counts, in each slot. For example... there's a lot of different items with stat increases you could have in your neck slot instead of the Glowing Bone Collar, but it's 5 AC vs 0 on most other neck items. So you choose the glowing bone collar. STR is not a priority for a Warrior, it'll add to your DPS at higher levels, you'll hit for more damage but your role is to soak up damage. So wouldn't you be more concerned about AC to soak up the damage and DEX to ensure you proc enough to get and keep aggro?

The same debate could be had about the granite bracer. Is it better to have those HPs you get from the stamina on the bracer - or have higher AC and a chance to lose less of those HPs when you get hit?

SVs are nice. But are you going to pull a lot? Or are you going to be the main tank and stay in the camp. I prefer the latter, with a monk or a ranger (who's probably wearing the mithril) on pulls, or a paly/SK if we're fighting undead... Because as you know we Warriors have no method of CC during pulls. If I'm not out running around with the chance of being rooted, I'd rather have more AC as the main tank. Caster mobs drop in seconds when they get back to camp. Raids are a different story, but that's why people have alternate gear, am I right?
