Also, the United States saw the most productive growth well after Slavery was abolished.

If I was a King I would much prefer consumers to slaves. The consumer is basically nothing more than a slave who is unaware that they are enslaved. And the one's semi aware are distracted enough by videogames to not care.

You misunderstand. I don't care about poor people, because trash begets trash. The one in a ten thousand that pulls themselves from poverty is sufficient in this system. I just find it hilarious that people talk about freedom and greatness when living in squalor with a shit education and no concept of money and wealth accumulation.

Do you really think the poorest people in the country are the ones you're listening to talk about the greatness of this country and freedom?

Do you think maybe that you're being told X group is saying Y by group A or B instead of paying attention to reality?
