Default no 3D devices found

built a new computer, put P99 on it.... first program on it.

Everything is all updated

I do the patchme method and when I load it, it makes a popup that says "no 3D devices found"

any ideas?

amd a10-5800k apu


Thats the video I have.... when I look at the display adapter it only shows a standard VGA stuff.

It seems to me that your computer is not detecting your video card, I would double check that you have the most current driver installed from the AMD website for your card type specifically.

Other than that, it could be something with the computer being a new build... anything from mistaken compatibility of card/board, all the way to the way the card is mounted and to which power cable.

Hopefully the next person through can help more =)

on another note: some of the more up to date apps can help you with your drivers. I seem to recall the WoW launcher telling me to update a video driver...

I figured it out.... I have never facepalmed so hard in my life

I needed to installed the drivers that came with the motherboard (I am a hardware support specialist, I build the computers... thats it) I have never heard of installing motherboard drivers before.

So WoW, P99, WC2, D2.... everything works now [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] so happy.... got everythign all set up aaaaaand network went down.
