Who here is actually ready to see the stock market fall substantially because private health insurance is eliminated?
I wish the corporate Democrats were just honest and said that's why they don't want to do medicare for all. The fact is -- an entire industry would be eliminated and its going to be a bit of painful adjustment. No one talks about this because politicians are still avoid the subject of private health insurance in public. Thats the problem though. We need to bury an industry and people that have their health insurance (often paid on company dollar and slowing the economy) really would rather not. But unless everyone gets those cadillac plans..or at least like 60% of people...its not sustainable from a public opinion perspective. Do you think the gig economy generation is going to be getting those god damn health plans? Nah -- if nothing else private insurance is doomed once the boomers pass. | ||

This countries economy is likely irreparably fucked, when people on state welfare [olds] are taking part time min wage jobs [kids] need to go to [school] and start a life, so they can buy their grandkids their 3rd [xbox] or [pizza hut gift card] that they can't afford along with their [insulin copay] on their [pension]. It makes one wonder why [gang violence] is on the rise.
Time for thunderdome Like everything is abused and exploited by the top to milk as much money from the populace as possible with [total thought control through multimedia tribes]. Everyone with real wealth is offer shoring it because they don't want to live here or lose their investments to the mobs of morons, so they aren't going to be ever reinvesting in this country. Why re-purpose or build a factory or labor force in Chicago? It is just a matter of time, and which party will be 'most demonized'. | ||
