Shaman afk options while soloing

Hi there! So I’m returning to p99 and plan on playing a shaman or a necro.

Other than the common comparisons in play style, one big differentiating factor for me will be the ability to safely check out when an interruption occurs. I know Necro can do this very easily with feign death, Do shamans have a good option for hiding while soloing?

Cast invis and pray or find a safe spot and also pray

shamans get a sky item (ring) that has feign death on it, 2 charges only though. so you have to recharge it, but if you only have a few interruptions, you can use this

You can invis but it can fade early.

If you go with shaman, best bet is to bind somewhere you can gate to thats totally safe but close by where you're hunting. When in doubt, gate out and start over again!

Or just focus on camps that are inherently safe where you can afk without issue, basically anywhere where there aren't any kos mobs that will path by and attack where you're sitting

Invis + camping (if the area is not full if see invis) is the best option outside of Bind + Gate, as others have mentioned.

This will allow you to stay in whatever area you are at, while also being immune to random death.

You should wait for the 30 second timer to go down before leaving your computer, as invis could break before camping finishes if you are unlucky.

There are some camps that fit this bill when you are leveling from 55-60. https://wiki.project1999.com/Mentrax_Mountainbone + https://wiki.project1999.com/Eldak_Howlingbear are one example, and PoM Rat Maze is another. Neriak Arena works too if you are not KoS to the Dark Elves. Killing the Troll/Ogre trainers does not tank your Dark Elf faction.

Most classes can't safely afk. Races and classes with hide can safely hide-afk in areas where there are no see-invis mobs, as you go up in levels hide becomes more or less useless however as more and more areas have see-invis mobs.

Logging is always an option, however, you do not regen mana/hp then and can't contest a camp. For shamans and other pet classes it can be annoying to lose pet doing this too.

As a shaman you can find locations to afk-level all the way to 60.
