Default Hello New player from Springfield, Mo.

I miss the classic Everquest, I recently installed the Steam version of Everquest & II and was VERY disappointed as it is completely different from what I remember. I hope to recapture my memories with your server, are there many players on?

Welcome back. I played from 1999-2002 and came back two weeks ago. It has been so much fun playing and meeting fine folk. Do some digging around in the Technical Forum to learn how to improve the game in terms of graphics, sound, and User Interface. The nostalgia, real grind, and the absolute necessity to help others and accept theirs are my favorite reasons as to why I'm back.

I wish the original game creators would rewrite EQ and all expansions with modern graphics and up to date compatibility with today’s machines.

Welcome back.

I joined p1999 a few months back, it was more dead then than now - now there seems to be a thriving newbie community.

Lemme know if you wanna group. I have a couple of newbie characters: a bard in the Qeynos area and a druid in the Rivervale area, both at level two. I have other characters too, here's a list:

Mezart (2 bard) Qeynos
Biggbag (2 or 3 druid) Rivervale
Wayseeker (7 ranger) Gfay
Weylay (12 shaman) N Karana - headed to commonlands area
Hokorus (3 or 4 enchanter) EF/Qeynos area
MacBerk (6 rogue) EF/Qeynos area

The population is ~600-1200 at all hours. Enjoy.

The population here is great, both numbers-wise and the quality of people. I'm in your same timezone. Actually, in your same state, a couple hours away (hello from KC). If you play in the evening, there is NO shortage of people online. A lot of the time, zones will actually be packed. The ones less traveled are less populated, but that's only natural.
