It would go down a lot differently when you've got the majority of the US in on it. Sort of how Socialism works in small countries like Norway, but not really in large countries like the US. Apples to oranges, friend.

Do you think the US would start unloading on everyone without the UN and a good portion of the rest of the planet calling shenanigans and doing the people's work for them? The US government would either a) get completely wiped by the rest of our species, or b) start firing off all our nukes and ultimately cause the human extinction event. Either way we win because the feds will be no more and we can begin to embrace the constitution once again.

You're right to a degree. It would be almost impossible to find every "trouble maker" and even harder to scrub the story from all news outlets. it would get out somehow.

The lynch pin though is convincing enough people to take a stand in stead of purchasing bumper stickers that show their support. Rebellions aren't won by adhesive and catchy slogans.
