And if Nick got peanuts, why the NDA? I don't know legal proceedings, but it sounds like an NDA is something the defendant would set up, not the prosecuting person. Also, the fact that defamation suits are so hard to "win" is part of the problem with this country. News agencies and individual citizens can just spread lies or file false complaints with complete impunity. I mentioned before that my uncle who is a real estate appraiser nearly lost his entire livelihood when a black family who was asking $200,000 more on their home didn't get an appraisal from him to match that, then filed a complaint claiming my uncle, a DEMOCRAT, was a racist. Just because he didn't lie and say it was worth $200,000 more for NO REASON. That is so completely fucked that a protected class can just go around literally ruining people's lives with fake complaints because they're mad they didn't get their way
