Default Game crashed when i try to enter world

Hey guys. i just reinstalled after several months away. The character selection screen is as far as i can get. My game crashes when i try to enter world. It gives me the white window saying something like " we have detected your game may have crashed etc. send us info so we can help etc." Is there a way around this? Ive been running duxa installer and changing the resolution. nothing has worked yet.

Im on a windows 10 desktop
i7 - 6700
8.00 GB ram
64 bit

Please help. Trying to get things working before the new server or whatever it is comes out.

Ps. Ive been running it in fullscreen mode. gonna start trying windowed.

Ok, so I think I found a fix. I went to the sticky up top, The Technical discussion FAQ. I followed what number 5 said to do and manually changed the resolution to 800x600 and it worked...but it was way to small. so then I used Duxa installer to see what other resolutions I could use (i had no idea) but I didn't actually use Duxa to change it to that resolution(when I used Duxa to change the Resolution to 800x600 it didn't work. I had to do it manually). I went into the file like the FAQ said and did it there. I ended up using 1440x900 and its is good enough.

I hope this helps someone else get a fix... so they can get their EQ fix!
