Default Faction Required for Black Dire Pelt Turn In

It's been years since I did the Shaman Epic, never did do the black dire pelt turn in but I finally have the pelt now. Months ago i turned it in to the correct npc and got nothing. I have the pelt again and was thinking maybe my initial problem was somehow my faction with true spirit got ruined somewhere along the way.

Question is does anyone know the faction required with true spirit to successfully complete this leg of the quest, and what is the easiest way to find out my current faction.

Thanks much for any help

It's exactly how much faction you get from completing all the parts of the quest leading up to that point. Just redo them (they really aren't hard at all) if you really want to be safe and make sure you have the proper faction.

Alternatively you can "hack" it and repeat the first part over and over with the help of a friend (there's various ways involving bind/gate, getting ports, and getting rezzed), but I'm not sure exactly what level you'd need.

Oh, and to find out your faction just con any of the true spirit mobs (eg. the spirit wolves that spawn throughout the quest).
