Oh wow.. I actually don't remember. I just know when i attempted to create cultural arrows i wasn't able to. Good thing to bring up though. I am leaning towards the recipe being missing though but will double check whenever i find myself in faydark again.

Do devs/staff ever shine any light on these threads or is posting in here just for player feedback?

The devs don't know everything, if they did then they wouldn't have these forums. If they do research of their own to help then just be thankful, but if you want a change it needs to be pretty solid evidence. So no, they don't always comment.

To date, I see nothing concrete to suggest cultural fletching was a thing in EQ prior to 12/4/2001. The mithril components are used in cultural blacksmithing or tailoring I think, so that does not lend any credibility.

You need to actually prove that the combine existed prior to 12/4/2001 via a time stamped post or wayback machine.

EDIT:

From the guide you linked:

Mithril Champion Arrows:
http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=12525

Blessed Champion Arrows:
http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=12481

Earliest comments are June of 2002 asking for a recipe. That is kind of close but still doubt people did not know a recipe for 6 months. Start digging for more proof if you think they existed sooner! May make good custom content some day if they ever implement.

OK, I'm hoping to put this to bed, but it looks like Wood Elf Cultural Fletching was added in the May 8th, 2002 patch according to EQ traders. There is no reference prior to that.

If you can find one great, but I don't believe it existed and will now stop looking into it.

As i figured.. shows when the fletching recipes actually changed from classic/kunark/vel/luclin to pop
and that shows when you could make those crazy bows and shit.
https://www.almarsguides.com/eq/Trad...Fletching/pop/

Well.. if you click on the classic tab , kunark, or velious tab you can make cultural arrows in those eras.
Anyways if i find anything else ill be sure to post it here. I expect tribute from all rangers when/if this ever gets put to work.

Yes.. this does mention when cultural fletching was updated and you could make the non basic bows such as Blessed Faydark Thunderbolt and blessed faydark cloudburster. Whats funny is you can still forage the sylvan branch from EW and wakening lands right now But i think the key piece missing to make the faydark thunderbolt is acrylia.. which i think was in luclin.

BUT im not worried about those fancy smansy bows you can make. I'm simply requesting that the cultural arrows be an option since they should be available and craftable if you have the cultural fletching kit. There is nothing in luclin nor pop that is required to make the cultural arrows.
I will look more into it later this week but thanks for posting when the bows were added to cultural fletching. One of those bows is kinda cool

It doesn't matter if components aren't needed in Luclin or PoP, if you don't find evidence of the combine existing prior to 12/4/2001 then there is nothing more to add to this thread.

Plenty to add to to thread. You're welcome to stop posting circumstantial evidence any time though.
Anyhoo.. So .. As its well done Luclin came out...December 4, 2001
IF this the case.. Why are people talking about the Feir`Dal Fletching kit BEFORE that.

I didn't know it was available at a vendor. I thought you had to make or pay someone to make one with the cultural smithing skills. It trivials at a skill of 162 smithing, per the eqtraders.com web site.

yes this kit can only be used by Wood Elves and it is used to make Mithril Reinforced and Mitril Studded Leather armor.

This was all BEFORE Luclin came out and people had this fletching kit and how do you make this kit ?!?! MITHRIL BITS

1 x Mithril Bits
Ingredients
EverQuest icon 1 x Morning Dew - Foraged, Dropped, Ground Spawn
EverQuest icon 2 x Small Piece of Mithril - Bought

Oh hey look.. its mithril... being sold and used for cultural fletching before luclin.. Which expansion was this? OH velious.. ommgg.. Funny thing about this fletching is that the only things you could make were the arrows (which needed nothing from luclin), until luclin and then you could start making the bow as i claimed at the very beginning.
Hope this finally gets added!

Do you realize you linked the cultural SEWING kit used in cultural TAILORING? you need evidence for the FLETCHING kit and appropriate combines.
