When you're right you're right, could you imagine zone hopping for 5 hours on 12 different characters on a 30 pop box and calling it pvp? Awesome.

it caters to so many aspects of mmorpg though, it wants to be a "hardcore sandbox" but it also wants to be a carebear asmongold game where you can mindlessly farm outfits in the safety of your own instance.

i am not too sure i am into that shit, if i can't compete with the sickest nerds for the sickest gear whats the point of playing the game? competing against scripts or "AI" as they want to call it is just not interesting enough for me in the long term.

hopefully the game will deliver, but looking at it statisticly this will be the biggest flop we'll see in a while considering the amount of hype the game has received.

the only thing that makes me have a somewhat positive outlook on the game is the fact that the guy behnid it is a multi millionarie and a long time fan of mmorpgs, he has no stockholders to cater to and he also seem to be driven to make it happen.

People speculating this game won’t come out, however it is already fully funded by the creator of Intrepid Studios. I am super excited for AoC.

AoC also has no board of directors or EA or Amazon or any company breathing down their necks. With a tight knit crew of devs to see this through (and growing) it is IMO the most promising MMO in the next few years.

This all vs Pantheon which I don’t ever see getting finished.
