Default Lag, then spell files outdated?

Ok, P99 has worked flawlessly on my computer until last night. Starting last night I have had horrible delays when zoning in the evenings and when I try to use task manager to close the program then log back in, I catch pure hell trying to get back in. Unknown errors when trying to connect to login server, when I get the server select screen I see absolutely no servers, if I do get the servers to show up, timeouts occur... and now, IF I manage to slog through all of that, I now get "Your spell files are outdated!!" This is on BOTH of my computers (I have p99 on my laptop for when my back is being excruciating and need to sit on the couch). I have rebooted both computers, reset my cable modem and router. I have no idea how to copy and paste from command prompt to post the ping and tracert to rogean.com.

Well, I had just posted that I was able to get back in finally, but I posted that when I managed to get to character select. However, client crashed when I hit enter. Now it's back to unknown errors when I try to login to the game server.

Strange that both your PCs would have this issue at the same exact time. When was the last time you were able to play successfully?

are you able to maintain a consistent ping with no time outs?

Have you downloaded the recent patch files?

I would take the router out of the equation and/or try reinstalling EQ

Chances are it's not really anything anybody can control.
