Don't forget to floss and brush your teeth after or before you make your damn bed. I don't care what order it happens in. Dental hygiene is important if you don't want to eat gruel the last 2 years of your life.

Add a mouthwash to that regiment. Keep your dentist happy.

I keep getting cavities in places I have fillings. Makes me wonder if I needed fillings in the first place.

I had a dentist tell me I was at risk of developing a bad cavity, I got on it, and worked extremely hard to reduce the pain and swelling. Now it doesn't hurt anymore and I think the tooth actually healed itself some. I think it's possible. Some fillings were done with silver to kill the bacteria to keep the cavity from growing, hope you don't have complications. Anyway, I don't think it hurts to brush and floss regularly. Also, yeah to the mouthwash, I don't do it super often, but I do use it.

I was just a young boy when most of my fillings were done. As a kid I had poor oral health, now I brush 2x a day, floss regularly and mouthwash maybe once a week. I still have problems though. Some people just have bad teeth, mine look white and straight, so I can't complain there, but they are ultra prone to cavities I suppose.
