Default Chat windows reset

Hey folks,

Recently modified the setup and placement of my chat windows, and I'm experiencing an issue where the chat windows are loading in an odd place. Has anyone seen this issue before?

Some more details:
  • Using DuxaUI
  • I have tried logging out completely via camp and relogging
  • New window location is neither the old placement, nor the new desired placement, but something in between
  • Also happens if I copy the UI.ini file to another character
  • Also happens if I /load duxaui while in game

Appreciate your help!

Have you changed your resolution lately? Have you made any changes to your UI files & did you get them from a verified source? aka not a friend.

Also check to make sure your UI_CHARNAME_project1999.ini is saving when you /camp out. Don't /q out to save things properly.

Worst comes to worst you can try renaming the ini to ini.bac and creating a fresh one.

Hi baler,

Thanks for replying!

No changes to resolution, or the UI files themselves lately. They're my original files, though I've copied them over to other characters many times (and several times recently as I like to use the same setup for all my characters).

I also always /camp out rather than /q. Recreating the .ini from scratch with a saved backup is what I'll try next. Was hoping to avoid that if possible, but your suggestion is a good one.

Thanks again
