Accepting a quest?
So it’s been ages since I’ve played and it was after expansions. Can someone tell me how I accept a quest? I’m currently talking to tergon brenclog and if I hail him he says will you[help tergon]. But that’s as far as I can get

Talk to him using the prompts in [here]
So in this case targeting the guy and saying something like “I will help tergon” Or just “help tergon” Unlike other modern mmos there is no quest log, quest progress tracker etc. You follow the chat prompts and clues and turn items in when needed. Classic eq questing was brutal like this - especially in the early days without walkthroughs and even more so if the quest was still not yet solved. When kunark dropped there was a massive serverwide outpouring of participation to solve and figure out the quests themselves.

Some quest speak isn't hid in [these tags] and you have to reply to other things they say. Other times one npc will send to talk to another, either making you repeat a phrase the first npc said or simply telling the second npc the first npc sent you.
Keep good records of who says/needs what! (Or use the wiki, which is fairly accurate). Don't forget this server is a beta for a new 'true' progression in the future. Research and report those broken quests! Also, you may not be able to complete some quests if you are not sufficiently factions with the speech or hand in npcs. | ||

Classic EQ doesn't have a "quest acceptance" feature at all. NPC talk only serves to inform you about the quest, but you can finish them without ever talking to NPCs period.
