Off to a rocky start. Got passed on my usual hike today, by someone with marathon runner physique (twig upper body) who finished about 10 seconds ahead. Coincidentally wearing a PF Chang rock and roll marathon shirt. The same shirt I have for doing the half, of course mine no longer fits me due to putting on too much upper body size. Fair enough it doesn’t fit anymore, since that same size is what prevents me from being able to run the half competitively any more
I could have gunned it at the end and passed him, but while I like to compete, I don’t like to make it blatantly obvious I am competing like gunning it to pass someone in the last 10 seconds before the end would have done. Also, it wouldn’t have mattered if I gunned it to finish ahead, since he started later, he would have had the better time regardless First time beat in months and months, all I could think was: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v= | ||
