I've been wondering, how does one open a s3d file in a separate image viewing program? I wish to extract textures, convert them over and utilize them in a map within the Source engine for Gmod or Team Fortress 2.

If anyone can answer this question for me I'd greatly appreciate it since I been looking all around on figuring out how to do so.

Thanks, really appreciate it. Now I just need to convert the entire zone models over.

Pic related, need to export the zones over to something like 3ds max and then import it over to Source engine. Not sure where the overland files are though.

Yes but you have to delete the original files first (good idea also to back them up to a new folder).

Default Thanks but no thanks.

I might be interested in the character graphical improvement, but not the rest.

Sharpening the bad graphics is not an improvement to me.
Part of what makes the poor, blurry graphics tolerable for me is that my imagination can more easily fill in the missing detail; allowing greater immersion
[and for me personally, immersion is one of the most important aspects].

I understand not everyone has the same ability or inclination to imagine things, or judge aesthetics, so i'm not criticizing,
just throwing in my 2 cents.
In fact I'm happy for anyone who finds this useful, and impressed with the work put into it!

I saw https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=116564
where Nysus and others were working on a hand-crafted character graphic enhancement.
The download links in that thread do not work and the thread is locked...
Anyone know where I can download that project now?

That section on the wiki needs to be fixed and replaced with the EQClassicHD project.
