reroll 39 DE Necro

I recently went through the same thought process on my Dark Elf Necromancer. Iksar re-roll prevailed. Iksar just hit 34 and I picked up Call of Bones. The difference is quite noticeable. I can only imagine what it will be like with Lich and beyond.

I played a Dark Elf on Live for years...and loved him, but after doing my research here, I don't for a minute regret my decision. I will agree that 30 left a bit longer on the Iksar than the Dark Elf. But other levels not so much.

I have a lot more respect if I see a DE/erudite/human necro at 60 with his epic... props to those guys who don't min/max and can go on to do big things <3

You get an extra +2 at 50, then +4 at 51. The difference between level 49 and 51 is 6, double the regen you had at 49. +4 again at 55, and then +2 at 60.

6 hp/tick at 49, 18 at 60. Pretty big. Other races at 60 are sitting for 7. They could get a Zlandicar's Heart for umpteen^10 plat at level 51 and they'd still be 2 hp/tick behind a naked Iksar, and then continue to fall off scale with more levels.

Level this guy to like 50 and perma camp him at Xalgoz or some other similar camp. Roll Iksar necro as your main.

I like this suggestion. You obviously enjoyed your necromancer to level him up to where he is. I think rather than throwing the baby out with the bath water you need to find something you could enjoy with the existing necromancer, even if you do decide to level up a new one too.

I could never re-roll my DE necro he is the oldest char I have sadly he isnt the highest. If your looking to fast track a necro to 60 maybe you should roll a druid or a bard instead. Something that can Aoe.

on a side note can we please end the penalty for not fearing or rooting?

I am not a min /Maxer, but the exception is with necromancer race. Iksar regeneration is crazy helpful for necro that I can't pass up ikky.

I played an erudite to 20, then rerolled to iksar. I think it's worth it. A level 60 iksar w/ demi-lich sitting gets 1hp per tick. I can only imagine non-iksar regen losing somewhere like 20hp per tick.

I would re-roll. Just solo in lake of illomen 20-30, then 30-40 play in Lguk, 40-50 kaesora(so much fun). All charm fighting. Then howling stones at 51
