A huge percentage of the dead would likely be dead anyway. It says nothing about the actual risk of covid itself unless you only measure the death rate among otherwise totally healthy people who got it and died, which is undoubtedly a tiny minority. If you have advanced diabetes and heart disease, it makes just as much sense to say those things killed you than a relatively non-lethal virus.
