Those Vulak guys are a bunch of sad sacks but at least they're guys playing with other guys rather than a group of their tea party dolls.

"Those vulak guys" implies you're not one of them; i.e. you still have things to do on p99. Opinion invalidated!

When I want to explore someone else's imagination alone, I read a book.
As a totally unrelated aside, can you visualize images or objects within your mind?

After dabbling on modern eq its clear that early eq is the only real eq.

Late eq has some good stuff, but its not all good and the worst part of it is being run by a seemingly inept company that's simply bleeding every cent out of the player while putting in the absolute minimum.

Still beats farming vulak for the better part of a decade though, so there is that.

Claws of Veeshan

Is this describing the P99 raid scene? Frozen in time? Has Menden swiped the lands of p99 velious with his icy claws?

Velious is overwhelmed with writhing ice. Frozen undead swarm everywhere. The few survivors throw aside old hatreds, for now at least, and band together to survive.

The heroes of Norrath arrive to help them, but they have not discovered the source of the deadly ice.

The remaining giants of Kael, now more able to move around their city, carve a tunnel out to the Cobalt Scar. It is time for the bravest heroes of Norrath to challenge the dragons of Velious and put an end to the deadly magic that has tormented the citizens of the continent.

Rise to the challenge! Face the ancient dragons of Velious and bring them to account for their actions!

Curious, do you do this while /listed or while sitting outside ToV earning DKP for SoWing people?

No, I can imagine you paying to play Might & Magic without being logged in.

To some extent, although there's a storyline behind it. The game is very, very quest-heavy now + tradeskills + small-group raids (missions), and stuff, so it encourages you to buy into the dev-side of things and not just EverGrind. Y'know... Not just sit in geonid caves from 46-60, but really know 'why' those geonids had to live in such unspeakable conditions ya know?! =P

Joking aside, yeah - the re-doing of a lot of the 'favorite' zones from the 90s is pretty cool tho. I like the new OT, etc. People flip out about new Freeport, and yeah, nobody fuggin goes there anyways, so it doesn't really matter. But the new combat zones are cool. Just saw new Dragon Necropolis and it's a big upgrade. Siren's is now inside the cobalt scar zone, not a separate zone, so that's also cool. Haven't done any of the new missions yet, but you can get in Beta now and check it out...

Would have been cute if you didn't underscore your own rhetorical implication.

At any rate, point being: there's tons of shit to do on Live, rather than raid Vulak in Vulak loot... at 3am on a Tuesday.
IKR, you can just box a few characters with mercs and solo raid bosses. Much better.
