Or you can play diablo 2 with various mods that have large active communities.
Season 3 PD2 just came out (closer to D2) https://www.projectdiablo2.com Median XL 2.0 coming out Aug 27th (d2 on steroids) https://www.median-xl.com Both have end game content. So you can play D2R and do 100k baal runs or either of these mods for D2 LoD which expand the original content. --- I'll be playing median xl on aug 27th weekend if anyone else is, PM me and we can play together or I can help you.

I'm more excited for the graphics upgrade and modernization changes. I cant bring myself to play real old school D2, looks like utter garbage
I am by no means a graphics snob either - I love SNES and even NES (and EQ obviously)

Original D2 had that fake parallax scrolling perspective you could toggle, which looked like dog shit but provided somewhat of a 3d effect. The remake seems to completely lack that, the environments are just totally static and there's no sense of depth or perspective. I'm assuming that's because they realized if they added that it would just look exactly like Diablo 4, cause it looks gorgeous in that, and they don't wanna cannibalize any shine D4 has.
