I am onto what Brad was doing.
If you gave me $15million I think I could make a pretty good EQ clone mebbe. Needs to run on potato computers. Needs some QoL stuff for like banking, transferring items. Like a mail system. One click crafting (or a straightforward minigame, like u hammer a sword to progress andquench to lower temp and u gotta keep temp in a certain range). Different crafts should interact. Npcs can supply themselves from players selling to them. You can barter a block of ore for 10p and npc will sell for 11 to 20p.. or u sell for 5p and npc will sell for 10-15p... and it averages... so above would average to a base of 8p.. (npcs can lose money and if they go broke it slowly regenerates over time) Shouldn't stock themselves. Needs to be easy to play. Needs grindy mechanics and alternatives to killing mobs for grinding plat per hr. Mechanically deep combat. Needs handcrafted intricate zones. Needs antitwinking mechanics. And pvp should be balanced so that there's a cap on how far u can outlvl or gear someone. Needs a ton of random quests and npc interactions u have to explore manually without ui pointing u around. Lots of secrets. Lots of factions. Lots of interfaction interactions. Zones should generally be smallish to medium. Like qeynos and EC sized with a few larger ones. There should always be stuff that is much easier to do in groups. And also lots of soloey grindy things. The game should be balanced around garbage tier gear. With a few rare exceptions. And uber gear should be so rare you would be lucky to get something at all after like 2 years. And characters should die of old age after 4 years. Also needs hardcore anti boxing and anti botting.
