I wrote this song with some pals back in 2012.
I do all the lyrics and vocals. https://youtu.be/mrwegx04uy0 Call Me The Dreamer - Miles Away The sun has set and it's darkness that remains A roaming ship sails upon the crashing waves Weathered, and alone The sailor has emerged and takes steps to the boats top deck Disoriented and confused overwhelmed with such pain, and such strife That the sailor never stops to question The very circumstances of life X marks the spot Of all the things the sailor seeks But whats hidden inside that chest Is anyone's guess it seems And so the journey begins But as the sailor sets sail Pirates appear upon the horizon Armed with cannons and a cut throat crew And I stand here wondering if you've come to realize that the sailor in this story, well, it's actually you And through the smoke and the fire, as you sail to survive You swear you hear the ocean screaming "No one gets out alive!" And as we sail to the unknown an anchor pulls us to the bottom of the ocean floor They've called me home! Out on the open sea! Everything I've ever searched for seems to keep eluding me! Where have I roamed? There's no land as far as I can see. I'm so lost, will I be found? Or will I search for an eternity? Shipwreck, Shipwreck I am lost at sea This voyage has me stranded And you're miles away from me The waves have me I fear I'll drown No sight of you No hope is found Am I alone? Where are you now? ‐---------------- The song is a metaphor or parable about the life experience that we all deal with. I wrote it from my perspective battling sin and trying to keep myself Christ centered all the while experiencing doubt and what I perceived at the time to be abandonment.

Our song 'Sleepwalkers' is probably our better track, but I still love that breakdown we do from the 3 min mark until the end of 'Miles Away'. We also have a live show posted where yall can see my awkward self try and talk to a crowd. That’s actually why I quit doing it. The anxiety was so bad before shows that I’d hold myself up in the bathroom throwing up and shaking uncontrollably. It was something I never learned to manage.

- Everclear - Father Of Mine
This song reminds me of my past, who erased his memory, and psychologically tortured me to believe I was not him. I still don't. I have theorized it recently. But it usually feels like rape to consider believing I'm him.

I'm not super into metal but ur music is great. I would say, say more with less, but I loved the two songs you did. Prescient. It isn't our last chance. This is our only chance. I'm not saying to regret or fret. Perfection, and absolutes. They're overrated. Someone will carry the torch when I'm done. You're done only when you're done.
