I spent some time on federal jury and it's absolutely astounding how much information they can pull on a person online, VPN's typically feed information to the GOVT no issues on a subpoena, especially around anything backed by INTL coalitions.

Everything, your cellphone touch screen keypad is backdoored and publishes your data in the public domain. So it's no longer protected under the 4th Amendment.
Used to be the government could do anything not specifically enumerated until the 9th amendment. States could do anything until the 14th amendment.
Often times you'll just wind up before the Supreme Court after 20 years of incarceration or the police will just file a report saying they were forced to fire a weapon directly into the back of your skull. Either way your privacy will always be protected sort of mostly under our wonderful and amazing constitution.
Protection against search and seizure is effectively suspended at TSA checkpoints and within 100 miles of the boarder, and you can be legally compelled under the threat of force and imprisonment to decrypt your electronic files or present a password to the courts.
Your only protection is to have state secrets valuable enough that Putin allows you to live in a Moscow air terminal for several years.
