I went with donuts, but I am assuming maple bars are counted as a donut in this case. Otherwise I would go with cupcakes.

Cupcake has to be one of those fancy expensive gourmet ones or else it's nasty. I thought all cupcakes were nasty until a client gave me some 6$ gourmet cupcake and it was the best damn cupcake I ever ate
Donuts are meh, filling is gross, bearclaws are pretty bomb but always too big. I have to cut them in half to not feel like a fatass | ||

That looks good. I think that donuts are better. Funfetti cupcakes are as good as the most high priced cupcakes I’ve had. But cake isn’t my jam. That delux jello mold looks pretty good.

I had three cupcakes today. And every time it was wonderful.
Fruit makes me sick lol. Unless it's like...cooked and pureed and like watered down. To where I can't taste it anymore and it's not really got a texture. If I eat fresh fruit I like convulse. Gag. | ||

I find both bakery items to be quite enjoyable. My breakdown of these titans of the single serve dessert arena is as follows. Both can be out of this world. Both can be quite forgettable. In my experience it is the forgettable donut that I have been underwhelmed by, the least. Cupcakes tend to be accompanied by a joyous occasion. Rarely have I consumed an entire cupcake in full shame mode, donut are another story. Most donuts, I know it’s a bad choice and I proceed despite my better judgment.
If we compare the two at the pinnacle of culinary possibilities, I believe the winner is clear. The winner is the one that requires care, preparation and know-how. This of course, is the cupcake. | ||
