Miscellaneous: PCs showing on top of merbs randomly

I didn't see any threads relating to this glancing through so I thought i'de mention it.

I play on red - not sure if this is also affecting blue.

Ever since the last major patch (maybe related to the NPC spawn issues we were having on red?) players zone in and randomly appear on top of mobs that i'm fighting. This is not consistent and seems to happen in some places more than others.

The player character is not actually there of course, but you can target them and you can con them. They stay there for about 30sec-1min before disappearing and do not move (even if the mob does). On red this tells you if they are in range ect. so it could be detrimental to game play.

One place I can reproduce this almost every time someone zones in is the ancient croc in upper guk, for some reason that spawn seems to be especially affected.

I did an OOC asking if anyone else was experiencing this and i got several tells describing the same behavior so I don't think this is exclusive to me.

This has been happening to me too, especially in Mistmoore (on red).

It's been mentioned off and on a bit here, I don't think there has been much in the way of dev talk regarding it but it seems to be an issue with client and server syncing.

I play on red and I kind of like it. Gives me a heads up if a known PK enters zone and I can con them to check level range.
