Same problem here. The weird thing is that sometimes it works fine and you can log in, but then when you zone EQ freezes and you have to force quit. Then it's a crapshoot as to whether you'll be able to log back in or not because of the 1017 error. It's very frustrating.

It started yesterday for me as well. Nothing has changed on my side (IP, files, etc).

yep, I can not figure out the issue. I have tried all the "fixes" posted in the forums about this issue but none actually work for me.

I tried playing green last night on a new character but was getting kicked almost ever zone change and then spend 5-10 minutes logging in over and over to get to the character screen. Only to have it happen again once I was playing again.

After spending more time trying to play than actually playing changed to playing different server and it worked fine not 1 crash in 4 hours of playing.

Very frustrating that I can play the other eqemu servers fine.

It's been on and off here, that is very bizarre...
Sometimes I managed to log in and sometimes I cannot.
Not sure what is causing this tbh

hey so I have been fighting with this for a while now. after some digging I found another thread here that suggested turning off any over clocking. well I did that and now I can log in reliably. might just want to check your bios. especially if you have an ASUS MB

This and blank login screens, random crashes when trying to log in or zone, etc. have been happening to me recently as well.
